Croatia will meet France in the World Cup Final after beating England 2-1 in ET. Match started with an early goal from England. In 4' Dele Ali won a free kick in a dangerous spot at the top of the circle in front of the Croatia goal. Kieran Trippier just stepped up and took it like a pro, whipped it over the wall and back down into the top right.
England continued to push for another goal while Croatia were struggling to string two passes together. In 30' Lingard slipped Kane free with a cute pass down the inside-left channel. Kane opened his body to sidefoot into the bottom right but his shot was saved by Subasic. Croatia had its first chance in 45'. Second half started with Croatia pushing for a goal. Vrsaljko, deep on the right, curled towards the far post. Walker stooped to head clear, but Perisic nipped in from behind, and high-kicked a first-time flick into the left-hand portion of the net. 3 minutes later Croatia hit the post. Perisic whistled a low shot across Pickford and off right-hand upright. Croatia missed a few more chances with the regular time ending 1-1.
England had an excellent chance in 9' of extra time when Stones' header was cleared by Vrsaljko on the line. In the end of the first half of ET Perisic curled low for Mandzukic on the edge of the 6-yard box. Pickford came out bravely to put the striker off. In 19' Croatia scored its second goal with Madzukic who met a dropping ball and flashed an unstoppable low shot across Pickford and into the bottom right.
