The Prime Minister Edi Rama, confirmed on Saturday that in the coming months is expected to begin construction work for the Vlora's airport.
According to him, negotiations are being discussed to have tariffs not only more favorable than Rinas airport, but the lowest in the region.
"The airport will be competitive and far more favorable than the Rinas one. We have sought and are on the right way to conclude the negotiations and have the lowest tariffs in the region. If 1000 seats are required directly by the airport, it is estimated that employment growth is 1 in 27. So, 27 thousand jobs in the next 4-5 years is the minimum calculation. At the beginning of autumn, will begin the work for both bypasses of Vlora and Fier," said Rama.
He added that in the last 4 years, USD 130 million have been invested in the Vlora area, while there are 57 other projects that will be financed by the state budget for the period 2018-2020.
