Even though it has left EU, Britain will be engaged in Albania and Balkans, according to the British ambassador in Tirana, Duncan Norman.
The message was clearly given by the British Ambassador in Tirana during the celebrations for the birthday of Queen Elizabeth. Part of the celebrations was even the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, and other ministers, politics, media and diplomacy representatives.
"Some thought that after Brexit, Great Britain would lose its strength. But the contrary is happening. In Albania, just like in the rest of the world we are becoming more and more present. Not only in the areas of security and defense, but in a myriad of other activities," said the British ambassador.
Among other things the ambassador enhanced that Great Britain will continue to work closely on challenges as the fight against organized crime, but simultaneously will work on stimulating the Albanian youth to reveal their potential in the digital sector through the initiative of British Embassy, Techhub.
