Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Artan Shkreli, unveiled on Wednesday some details about the express trains that are expected to come to Albania, predicted to travel with 100-140 km / h.
According to him, one of the projects of transformation of the Albanian railway network is the one that links Durres with Pogradec and Pogradec with Macedonia.
"I mean, all three of these lines will not only soften domestic transport, but they will make Albania's international railway connection, not just for freight but also for people. In this case, part of the rehabilitation process is also the Tirana-Durres-Shkoder-Montenegro railway line, and also the one passing through Kapshtica in Greece," said Shkreli.
He added that another project being studied is the Vlora railway, which together with investments in the road network or the expected construction of the airport, will make this city turn into an important pole for tourism but also for freight and transport of people.
