FIFA has officially determined the World Cup organizers of 2026.
They are the United States, Mexico and Canada that together will welcome the world's biggest football event. The decision was made today at the FIFA Congress held in Moscow, where the candidacy of the three states received 134 votes, defeating that of Morocco that provided only 65 votes. The last time the US has welcomed a World Cup was in 1994, while for Mexico it happened in 1986. Canada has never been the organizer of the World Cup ever.
The 2026 World Championship will be the biggest ever held, as 48 teams will participate for the first time.
