Ireland Supports Albania's Integration Process

Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, held an official visit to Ireland on Wednesday and was received by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Simon Coveney.
The main topics discussed were issues of Albania's European integration, intensification of bilateral relations, deepening of economic cooperation, visa liberalization and Brexit issues.
Minister Bushati expressed gratitude for Ireland's support in the European integration process of the country and made a presentation of the measures taken by the Albanian government in addressing the 5 priorities, particularly in the justice reform and vetting process.
Both sides agreed on the necessity of intensifying bilateral relations and identifying various areas of cooperation of common interest.
During the visit there, he also met with Seano Fearghail, Chairman of the Lower House of the Irish Parliament, as well as with the Chairman of the Joint EU Commission, Michael Healy-Rae and members of this committee, where they expressed the maximum appreciation and their support for Albania's achievements in the framework of the European Union integration process.
