The INSTAT report on crime statistics comes at a time when two persons were shot in Kamza Wednesday night. The assault of citizens Agim and Merita Buçi, husband and wife, by two still unidentified robbers who attempted to clean out the cash register in the Buçi family's store, resulted in the death of Agim Buçi and injury of his wife, Merita.
The family tragedy spurred reaction of DP leader Lulzim Basha, who stated that Kamza and the entire Albania was shaken by the barbarian event, where Agim Buçi was executed during a robbery of his store, adding that this tragedy reflects the state of insecurity in the country. He extended condolences to the victim's family, while appealing for uncovering the perpetrators. "This event serves as an appeal to give an end to the facades, as the police cannot be in the service of citizens when there are ministers serving criminals," Basha said.
