11 Albanian Arrested in Turkey, 1.1 Ton Cannabis Seized

Turkish Police successfully finalized an operation on Thursday, by arresting 11 Albanians and seizing 1.1 ton of cannabis sativa, worth EUR 5.2 million. The operation was carried out on the basis of information received from the Albanian side.
The drug was seized right after was entered in Turkey through sea routes from Albania. Turkish media said that between arrested was also one of the most notorious Albanian drug dealers, Met Kanani. He was arrested while waiting the drug cargo.
The Albanian group had a key role in drug trafficking of different types from Middle Eastern countries to Europe through Turkey and Albania.
