EBRD Selects Tirana, Funding for Drinking Water

The Municipality of Tirana and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), signed on Monday an agreement in London for doubling the Bovilla's capacity and for a new supply network of potable water in the area of the Unaza e Re, Yzberisht and Kashar.
Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj said that this agreement is dedicated to the citizens of Tirana, who are shown correct with the obligations to the municipality.
"We have made many sacrifices to come to this day. Tirana is the number one city in Albania for the correctness of state payments," said Veliaj.
He added that, the Municipality of Tirana will immediately start work on doubling Bovilla's capacity and building a new network, in order to achieve the goal, that within 5 years, the capital will have drinking water 24 hours a day.
