The situation in the northern district of Shkodra remains problematic due to the heavy rains and discharges from Hydro-Power Plants. The local authorities reported on Tuesday that some 1850 hectares of land are currently underwater.
Ana e Malit Administrative Unit is one of the most affected by the floods. Over 1.200 hectares of land are still flooded while the water-supply system is currently out of order.
Some 450 hectares of land of Dajç Administrative Unit are also under water while the level tends to rise. Only trucks may circulate in this area due to water presence in every axis.
17 families are currently isolated by the waters in Zadrima neighborhood of Shirq village. The local authorities are already at work trying to evacuate the isolated inhabitants through boats.
