The lawsuit of the son of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, Shkėlzen Berisha against socialist MP, Taulant Balla, has gone on Thursday to the Supreme Court, since the Serious Crimes Court has ruled incompetence.
He accuses Balla for defamation since the accusations he made saying that Berisha has not paid taxes in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
"This is fear to put justice. They are afraid to say whether or not is defamation. The Supreme Court is the highest institution of this country; a fearful court can return the case to the top court. Balla is brought here as defamatory. I wanted the public to get a legal answer on this issue," said Berisha.
In the mean time he declared to have gone to the prosecution because he has documents that prove that he has paid over ALL 50 million taxes for 2 years.
"I went to the prosecution. My expectation is to come out the truth. Balla has said I have not paid any taxes in three years. In two years I have paid over ALL 50 million. I have the documents to prove it. If the prosecution had dignity it would have been prosecuted," added Berisha.
