First Greek soldiers bones were discovered on Monday evening in Dragot village of Tepelena. Excavations which started this day, are being followed by a joint Albanian-Greek committee.
The launch of excavations was part of the implementation of the agreement between the two countries, following the meeting of the two Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati and Nikos Kotzias.
In December 2017, the Albanian government decided to allow the excavation and discover the bones of the Greek soldiers who died during the Second World War.
