The Kosovo artist Jakup Ferri was presented last night to the art-lovers in Tirana with the ‘Op, op’ exhibition that opened the gates in ‘Brick Center’. The exhibition represents some works realized on tapestry, intertwined in the form of a mosaic that illustrates the artist’s particular ideas.
Some clothes, previously purchased by Ferri in Tirana, were used as the raw material for this mosaic. He cooperated with Fatos Kabashi and 8 more assistants for the technical aspect and the mosaic’s realization.
Ferri has been graduated in Pristina’s Faculty of Arts and in Rijksak Academy in Amsterdam. He is known as one of the most interesting contemporaneous artists. During these recent years Ferri has been experimenting in various artisan techniques used in the art and autochthones folk pictures. He gives particular importance to the authentic nature of his works.
