Prosecution to Investigate Imam's Declarations

The Prosecutor's Office started an investigation for the Imam Armand Ali, who days ago declared that the Independence Day should not be celebrated by the Albanian Muslims. He considered the celebrations as 'haram', now allowed by Islam.
It is not the first time that he had made statement which are not well accepted from the Muslim Community of Albania.
But the last declaration brings the reaction of the prosecution. The investigations against him are on the basis of promoting violence and terrorism. Police made the following statement on the issue:
On 06.12.2017, referring to materials from the Tirana's Prosecution Office, for the citizen A.A, 41 years old, resident in Selite, Tirana, for the penal act "Promotion of hatred and quarrel", after he published a posting in a social network under the title "Albanian Imam Surprises: Do not celebrate the Independence Day, is not allowed by Islam (haram).
