Albania, China Sign Several Cooperation Agreements

Albania and People’s Republic of China signed several co-operation agreements during the sixth meeting of government of the “16 +1” mechanism, which was recently held in Budapest, Hungary, China Radio International (CRI) said in an article.
In the presence of the participating leaders, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Etjen Xhafaj, signed the agreement on customs cooperation.
In addition, Albania and China signed a memorandum of understanding on the development of cooperation and investment in sector of energy between the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Fund and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of Albania.
The ‘Northern International Cooperation Group’, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Albanian Power Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the development of Skavica hydropower plant.
In the past, within the “16 +1” cooperation mechanism, the Albanian government and Chinese companies have signed several memorandums of cooperation.
