'Albania and France Bilateral Relations Need to Be Expanded'

The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta had a meeting on Thursday with the President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Cotes d’Azur, Renaud Muselier in Marseille, France.
During this meeting, he valued the excellent relations between Albania and France and highlighted the need to expand even more the current bilateral relations. He continued to emphasize on the subject of Albania cooperation with PACA, specifically in the fields of environment, tourism and naval infrastructure.
"The Mediterranean region has extraordinary potential, which can be exploited by the countries of this region to strengthen relation and cooperation in the future,” said Meta.
Meanwhile, Muselier, pointed out that this visit of Albania’s President Meta in France is evidence and an illustration of these bilateral relations. During the meeting, the Director of Marseilles’s Port Christine Cabau-Woerhel was present. She informed the Albanian President on the various functionalities of the port which impressed enough Meta to say that the Port is “a university on its own, both a geo-politic and geo-economic one”.
