Literature Awards, Idlir Azizaj Wins 'Author of Year' Prize

The writer Idlir Azizaj won "Best Work of the Year in Albanian Literature" award for 2016 with his work "The Shakespeareans" in a ceremony organized in Tirana's Puppets Theater.
This award was given to Azizaj from a jury chaired by Primo Shllaku and composed by Flutura Açka, Elsa Demo, Bajram Karabolli and Lisander Kola. The jury evaluated the particular text used in this book that interwines with nerve and humor the problematic Albanian environment of 21th century with a modernity style.
'The Best Translated Work" for 2016 was awarded to the translator Diana Kastrati that brought in Albanian language Antonio Pennachi's "Musolini Channel".
This year's competition for these coveted prizes saw the participation of numerous writers, including many new authors.
