Lazio's Sporting Director Igli Tare has been punished by Series A Sporting Court with a one-week suspension and a fine of EUR 10,000 due to fierce protests against top referee Davide Massa in a match with Florentine.
The former player of Albanian National Team fiercely reacted on referee Massa last weekend following an allegedly inexistent penalty given in favor of Florentine at 3rd minute of the additional time. This penalty transformed into goal prevented Lazio’s victory in this match.
“Tare's reaction against the referee was aggressive and intimidating and lasted until the referees entered into the dressing rooms” argued the Sports Court.
