The latest arrivals in Albania's National Team, midfielders Astrit Ajdarevic and Kamer Qaka are highly enthusiastic due to the fact that Coach Christian Panucci invited them to join the team's ranks. During a press conference ahead of a friendly match with Turkey they both expressed their loftiness for wearing the national team's flannel.
"Tears came down on my cheeks in the moment that I received the phone call. I have seen the Albanian National Team playing since childhood and I always dreamt of being part of it. Every component of this team is highly qualitative and plays with passion. Me and my family we always wanted to play for our country's national team," said Qaka.
Meantime Ajdarevic, a Kosovo origins player, talked about his family's name history.
"I have been playing as professional since 15 years. I hope to be given the chance to enter a field even for just a few minutes proving my qualities. Albanian National Team is very strong and includes many talents. These values were clearly shown even during Euro 2016 finals. I usually play as midfielder but I can take over even other positions in the field. The fact that not many people knew me urged them to hold a skeptical attitude, even due to my family's name. My family's name is Hajdari but we were forced to change it due to the war," stressed the player.
