The stunning beauty of Nivica canyons urged a group of professional alpinists from Netherlands, Slovenia, France and Australia to visit Albania exploring for the first time their over 200-meters depth. The expedition lasted for 10 days, and at its end the alpinists brought unpublished images that closely show these pearls of Albanian nature.
According to the head of the National Coast Agency, Auron Tare activities of this kind open up a great opportunity for residents of this area in the aspect of the development of extreme sports tourism in the Kurvelesh province.
“We will gradually introduce you with new images and facts about waterfalls, canyons depths and the opportunities to develop extreme sports tourism in this area,” said Tare, addressing to the citizens through a public statement.
The alpinists’ expedition is organized within the framework of a sustainable tourism project that is taking place in the area of the Nivica canyons.
