OSHEE Won't Require Energy Price Hike

While Albania’s Energy Regulatory Agency, ERE, expects to examine applications by the Power Distribution System Operator, OSHEE, and the Operator of the Transmission System, OST, for the electricity prices due to be applied after Dec 31, the head of the distribution operator Adrian Çela told a press conference on Tuesday that the power utility had no intentions to demand a new hike in the electricity price.
“We are making the respective calculations. As long as we do not have some figures on the generation costs, the domestic electricity output, we cannot provide a final answer. There are no intentions to increase price of the electricity,” OSHEE Administrator said.
Çela noted that power distribution operator had significantly cut its network losses over the past years, currently standing at 26%.
The OSHEE Administrator also announced that power utility has launched an online employment platform, currently offering 11 vacancies for the company’s regional directorates across the country. All interested parties are eligible apply for the new vacancies until November 6.
