Ex-MP Frroku Trial, Three Judges Resign

Three judges of the Court of Appeal resigned on Monday from the trial of former MP Mark Frroku.

Judges Shkëlqim Mustafaj, Andi Civici and Fatmira Hajdari resignation was related to the fact that they had previously tried a defendant's request for termination of pre-detention deadlines, while his case was being considered by the Tirana’s Court of First Instance. A new court is now expected to chosen.

Mark Frroku was declared guilty and condemned to 7.5 years of imprisonment on grounds of assets concealment and illicit construction. Meantime he was declared innocent for the murder of Aleksander Kurti in Belgium.
