Albanian’s director, Gentian Koçi ‘Daybreak’ film will be screened for the first time on August 13 at the Sarajevo Film Festival. Koci’s film is one of 7 selected films, which will compete at the region's most important film festival and one of the most important in Europe.

The “Daybreak” brings a powerful social drama which happens within four walls and the story relies on two female characters, Leta and Sofia.

“I feel highly honored by the fact that I share this contest with directors, whose work I have followed and appreciated since a long time. I believe that we should all expect a strong competition,” said director Koçi.

According to him the participation in this festival is a moment to be exploited as the Sarajevo International Film Festival is an important part of the film industry.

“To make the world premiere in a festival of such dimensions I think it's an achievement not only in the personal aspect but also in the efforts of modern Albanian cinema to be heard in the international arena,” stated director Koçi.
