Tourist Season, Macedonian Police in Albanian Coast
Albanian Daily News

Macedonian police forces will monitor for the first time this summer the situation in Albanian beaches. An agreement signed between the Albanian and Macedonian Ministries of Interior cleared the path to joint patrols in coastal area.

The Macedonian police will help the Albanian to cope with the large flux of Macedonian citizens entering the country during summer season. Meantime the Albanian police will return the favor by patrolling the Macedonian tourist city of Ohrid.

The joint patrols during summer season are not a novelty in Albania. Joint patrols with Kosovo police operate since several years during this period of the year in ‘Nation’s Road’. Anyway, this is the first time that Macedonian police will operate in Albania.
