EU to Assist 10 Municipalities

The United Nations Development Program office has opened the call for expression of interest from municipalities in Albania to participate in the Regional Program on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD) funded by European Union.
It published Friday the call for partnership with interested municipalities in Albania, in frame of Regional Program on Local Democracy (ReLOaD). This call aims to establish e partnership with 10 municipalities in Albania that will be part of a grant scheme with an amount of around 100.000 Euro for each of the municipalities for a period of around 30 months. This grant scheme will be directly used to support the civil society organizations that will offer public services in line with the priorities set up by the given municipality. The grant will be managed in collaboration between the selected municipality and the UNDP office in Tirana.
The call is open for all the municipalities in Albania and the selection of ten municipalities will be done in objective and transparent manner in line with the criteria that are part of the Guide for applicants. The municipality is expected to submit the required documentation from application sets or: Application Form and a Letter of Intent. All documents must be duly completed in Albanian language, signed and certified in accordance with the requirements of each of these forms Final deadline for submission of applications is on 4 August 2017 at 17.00. Applications submitted after the official deadline, will be considered only in case the postmark indicates a date of dispatch before the official deadline. Applications submitted in any other way (for example, by fax or e-mail), or which are delivered to other addresses will not be considered.
