Albania and China signed a memorandum of cooperation in transports and infrastructure in the framework of the Belt & Road Summit. This 7-points memorandum was signed by the Minister of Transports and Infrastructure, Sokol Dervishaj and the Deputy-Director for Urban Development and Reforms, He Lifeng.
The agreement aims the enhancement of economic cooperation in the transportation, infrastructure sectors and the financial aspect.
“Albania is an important part of this process. This memorandum marks a forward step in two countries economic relations and infrastructure’s development. We expect major investment by the Chinese partners in the infrastructure, maritime transport and rail transport” declared Dervishaj, speaking to journalists after the memorandum signature.
The high representatives of 27 countries, including the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, the Greek Prime Minister, Aleksis Tsipras, the Turkish President, Recep Taip Erdogan along with the UN Deputy-General Secretary and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief, Christine Lagarde attended this international forum in China.
