The head of Central Election Commission (CEC), Denard Biba raised the alarm on Monday in relation to the delay verified in the June 18 elections preparatory process.
Speaking in a conference focused on the police forces training at the eve of the parliamentary elections he said that Local Commissions for Elections Administration (LCEA) have not been constituted.
“I am a bit envious, because things in CEC are not going in the desired direction. LCEA have not been constituted, despite the fact that we have experienced no objective impossibilities. Two main political parties’ candidacies have not been presented. Thus, we face the impossibility to constitute LCEA. CEC has addressed a public appeal to the citizens committed and perfectly aware of their status in favor of the republic and democracy to contribute for these commissions establishment,” said Biba.
