March 20, winter’s last day according to the tradition, is celebrated as the International Day of Happiness.
But Albanians have little reasons to rejoice, on view of the fact that this country ranks at 109th place in a list composed by a total of 155 countries.
This list is part of a report published by Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative promoted by the United Nations (UN) since 2012.
Albania is left behind in the classification by every country of the Balkans region. Meantime Kosovo ranks at 78th place in the happiness index, thus 31 places higher compared to Albania and 5 places behind Serbia which ranks at 73rd place. Macedonia ranks at 92th place, Montenegro ranks at 83rd place while Italy ranks at 48th place.
Norway ranks at the 1st place for the quality of life and citizens well-being.
