Verdi’s opera “La Traviata” returned on Saturday in the stage of ‘Petro Marko” theater of Vlora after more than 40 years. This successful performance in the coastal city ended a tour organized since several weeks by the National Opera and Ballet Theater (NOBT).
NOBT director, Zana Çela defined this performance as the first step of a long collaboration, adding that this initiative will continue with similar performances all over the country.
“The fact that this opera was being presented only in one stage is absolutely not normal. Even the music-lovers in other cities should be given the chance to enjoy Verdi’s beautiful opera. This is just the beginning of a long line of tours throughout the country,” said Çela.
Earlier “La Traviata” traveled to Shkodra, Elbasan and Fier as part of this innovative tour organized by the NOBT director.
