A sum of ALL 64 million was spent last year by the Albanian MPs and the parliament’s staff for abroad trips, plane tickets, hotels and daily expenses. This figure was disclosed on Thursday through a financial report approved during the last meeting of Parliamentary Bureau and signed by Parliament’s General Secretary, Albana Shtylla.
“ALL 32 million were spent for plane tickets due to the intensive inter-parliamentarian agenda. MPs traveled 288 times abroad with 130 members of the parliament’s staff in different destinations,” states the report.
The report addressed by Shtylla to the Parliamentary Bureau states that this figure is expected to go up to ALL 57 million during this year.
“ALL 57 million are expected to be spent for abroad trips during 2017. A sum of ALL 16.5 million is expected to be used for receptions and other elements foreseen by the protocol,” said Shtylla.
